New projects/publications season 2011-2012

For the moment, Nico is working on several new books:

- Violin Position 1 (Position-series)

With this book all fingerpatterns within the first position can be learned, by finger-schedules, exercises and songs. The relation between these fingerpatterns and tonalities/arpeggios over 2 octaves is also being taught. The songs can be played with play-along cd tracks , or with piano parts (as pdf on the second of the 2 cd's). Like the other books you will find new written pieces, arrangements of classical themes and traditionals. With cd play-long tracks in very different styles , from classical, to jazz, to modern dance styles.

- Violin Position 6, 7 & 8 (Position-series)

This will be the last book in the series, containing  7 different books. In this final book, you will find material to learn the higher positions (6-7-8). At this moment, in violin-teaching literature there are hardly recent/modern books or methods to be found. So this book must give possibilities to learn the higher positions in a thorough but atractive way. The book will contain exercises, scales, arpeggios and songs.  These songs will be new compositions by Nico Dezare, but arrangements of classical themes as well. With cd and pianoparts (pdf).

- Classical Highlights 2 (de Haske String Orchestra series)

The follow-up of "Classcial Highlights" (very easy), the  bestseller of the series. The level of Classical Highlights 2 will be "easy-intermediate"

- Concertino op. 96 Portnoff en Concertino op. 12 in D Kuechler

These concertinos have been reviewed by Nico and will be published in the concertino-series of de Haske Hal Leonard. Leonard. The production of the books is ready (revising bowings/fingerings/natation), Nico also did the engraving of the music.  Recording sessions of the cd still have to be planned, but the release of the 2 books can be expected in december 2011.

- Double Stops (within the first position)

The publication of the book will be in the summer-catalogue of 2012. After the decision had been made to publish in 4 local versions of the book (in English, French, German and Dutch) in stead of only English there's still some work to do on the book (translations etc.) but this will be a very exiting publication.
